2.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: Name, email address, company name, and password when you create an account.
- Business Information: WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) credentials, phone number IDs, and access tokens when you connect your WhatsApp Business Account via Meta Embedded Signup or manual configuration.
- Payment Information: Billing details processed securely through Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.
- Communication Data: Message content, recipient phone numbers, and message metadata that you send through our API.
- Support Requests: Information you provide when contacting our support team.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: API call logs, message delivery status, error logs, and platform usage patterns.
- Device Information: Browser type, operating system, IP address, and device identifiers when you access our dashboard.
- Cookies: We use httpOnly session cookies for authentication. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
- Meta/Facebook: When you connect via Meta Embedded Signup, we receive your WhatsApp Business Account ID, phone number ID, and access tokens authorized through Facebook Login for Business.
- Stripe: Subscription status, payment confirmations, and billing period data.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Hawk Send platform and API services.
- Send WhatsApp messages and OTP verification codes on your behalf through the Meta WhatsApp Cloud API.
- Process payments and manage your subscription via Stripe.
- Send you transactional emails, including email verification codes and account notifications.
- Monitor API usage, enforce rate limits, and ensure platform reliability.
- Deliver webhook events to your configured endpoint URLs.
- Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Meta Platforms, Inc.: Message content and recipient phone numbers are transmitted to Meta via the WhatsApp Cloud API to deliver your messages. Meta processes this data according to their own privacy policies.
- Stripe, Inc.: Payment and billing data is shared with Stripe to process subscriptions and payments.
- Your Webhook Endpoints: Message delivery statuses, inbound messages, and OTP verification events are forwarded to webhook URLs you configure in your account.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Data Security
- All API communications are encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2+.
- WhatsApp Business Account access tokens are encrypted at rest.
- Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms and never stored in plaintext.
- API keys are stored as SHA-256 hashes. Full keys are shown only once at creation time.
- OTP verification codes are stored as SHA-256 hashes and automatically expire.
- Authentication uses httpOnly, secure cookies to prevent cross-site scripting attacks.
- Webhook payloads are signed using HMAC SHA-256 to ensure integrity.
6. Data Retention
- Account Data: Retained for the lifetime of your account and deleted upon account deletion request.
- Message Logs: Retained for 90 days for delivery tracking and debugging, then automatically purged.
- OTP Records: Expired OTPs are automatically cleaned up. Verified OTP records are retained for 30 days for audit purposes.
- Webhook Delivery Logs: Retained for 30 days.
- Usage Records: Retained for billing and reporting purposes for the duration of your subscription plus 12 months.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data. See our Data Deletion Policy.
- Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.

8. Meta Platform Data
Hawk Send integrates with the Meta WhatsApp Business Platform. When you use Meta Embedded Signup to connect your WhatsApp Business Account:
- We only request permissions necessary to operate the service:
whatsapp_business_managementandwhatsapp_business_messaging. - We do not use Meta data for purposes other than providing our WhatsApp messaging services to you.
- We do not share Meta-provided data with third parties except as required to deliver messages via the WhatsApp Cloud API.
- You can revoke Hawk Send's access at any time through your Meta Business Settings.
9. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. These are httpOnly, secure cookies that cannot be accessed by client-side JavaScript. We do not use advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies.
10. Children's Privacy
Hawk Send is a business-to-business service and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
